About Us

Corazon is an ASX-listed nickel explorer and developer with projects in Australia and Canada. Corazon is advancing its 100%-owned, highly prospective flagship asset – the Lynn Lake Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Sulphide Project in the central Canadian province of Manitoba, as well as two Australian battery-metal projects – the Mt Gilmore Copper-Cobalt-Gold Project (N.S.W.), and the Miriam Nickel-Copper Sulphide Project (W.A.). With a focus on nickel sulphide, Corazon is ideally placed to take advantage of the widely forecast future growth in the rechargeable battery and renewable energy industries.

Corazon’s target commodities – nickel, copper and cobalt – are critical to the booming rechargeable battery sector. The Lynn Lake Project – a historically significant mining operation with current resources detailing 116, 800t nickel, 54,300t copper, and 5,300t cobalt (JORC Resource Estimate Nov. 2019), presents Corazon with a major development opportunity that is becoming increasingly prospective.

Our Focus – New world metals

With the uptake of EVs set to increase sharply coming years, as countries world-wide commit to net-zero emissions by 2050, the demand for battery-quality nickel is only going to continue to grow – and the question turns to supply, and how this demand growth will be met. With urgency fuelling the global need for new sources of battery-grade nickel, Corazon’s Lynn Lake nickel-sulphide project comes in to sharp focus.

Modern Exploration

Corazon is applying contemporary techniques to geophysical data from the 1960s onwards, to optimise the Lynn Lake project’s geology and infrastructure, and pursue the development of a substantial long-lived, economically viable mining operation.

Lynn Lake was mined for 24 years and has been explored for over 75 years; yet, Corazon’s deployment of advanced data techniques has resulted in the discovery of new deposits within the mining centre.

Substantial Ni-Cu-Co Opportunities

Lynn Lake is one of the best nickel exploration plays in North America, underpinned by significant Resource with additional expansion potential. It has been long viewed as a highly significant re-development opportunity, and Corazon’s work programs are focused on getting Lynn Lake development-ready at a time when there is a strong demand for new supply sources of quality, ethically sourced nickel.

Corazon’s strategy is to build a significant resource base at the Lynn Lake Mining Centre, simultaneously pursuing new, world-class nickel sulphide discoveries within the wider project area, with the purpose of adding more resource tonnes to enhance the economics of any future mining operation at Lynn Lake.

Corazon’s recent exploration activity has been focused on the Fraser Lake Complex, 10km south of the old mining centre, where it has defined an “extremely fertile” zone of nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide, across a prospective strike zone of 3-6km.
